The people’s watch that started against the gold digging company in July 2019 at Ida Mountains, may have been one of the biggest environmental movements in Turkey.
Nejla Osseiran, a Turkish-Lebanese photographer, worked as an instructor at Boğaziçi University for many years. Her work has been exhibited and published in various media. Since 2010, she has been making documentary films related to issues such as identity, poverty, working children, displacement, forced evictions and the environment.
