An intimate portrait told in three acts. This documentary follows the life and work of three of Johannesburg’s informal recyclers or reclaimers and their bid to gain recognition as formal labourers in the city. We tread on their heels as they navigate homelessness, the law, and survive the big city that is Johannesburg.
Sifiso Khanyile is an award winning Producer/Director for Anaphora Films, an independent archive researcher, founding member of the Association for Transformation in Film and Television (ATFT) and judge for the South African Film and Television Awards (SAFTA). He has also served as jury member for the International Emmys.
